Overview
Social Entrepreneurship is gearing up as an extended opportunity for entrepreneurial individuals and organisations to serve the society with great zeal. Non-Government Organisation is a form of Organisation work towards a particular objective without waiting for Government support in a welfare society. The role played by them is also recognized as social entrepreneurship with few lines of differences.
It has taken different forms with an intention to create a social impact may be a Trust or Youth Club or so on. The primary responsibility is to join hands and work towards a genuine cause which otherwise could be the duty of the Government.
As opined by Late APJ Abdul Kalam, any country can capitalize its resources through the work of social entrepreneurs as they have the capacity to organize resources with social motive. Hence Social entrepreneurship gets its attention by all developing nation.
The system of education does not provide the students with the necessary motivation to choose entrepreneurship as their career and there are myths being projected as social entrepreneurship both in India and abroad. Therefore, it is essential to teach social entrepreneurship in a format acceptable by the students and convince them about the impacts of such priority sector.
Learning Outcomes
The student would be motivated to take up social entrepreneurship as their career choice. Its an opportunity for them to understand the role of social entrepreneurs in a developing economy and social contribution of such entrepreneurs. Can also be an effective tool to scan the environment for social issues and way forward to identify critical problems with business opportunities.
Course Contents
- Basics of Entrepreneurship and Social Entrepreneurship
- Formats of Social Entrepreneurship
- Identifying social Issues, BoP and Support system
- Avenues of Social Entrepreneurship Group Discussions, Brain storming sessions

- Exposure to different schools of philosophical thought in India
- Opportunity to learn Sanskrit (conversational and textual) and Yoga
- Participation in traditional and cultural events
- Visits to places of importance
Fee Details
The Program fee would be EUR 550 per student.
Included in the Fee:
- Accommodation at University Guest House (on a twin sharing basis) for the duration
- Breakfast and Lunch on all working days
- Internal Transport
- Access to Sports and Emergency Medical Facilities
Not Included in the Fee:
- Flight Tickets
- Travel other than that specified in Program
