Overview

In this program, we attempt to bring together scholars and aspirants to cross-examine the
varied Indian philosophical formulations of self, activity and agency, and their interconnectedness. This program will look at diverse literary sources for philosophical
theory – linguistic and philological literature, the epics, poetics and literary criticism, treatises on knowledge, truth and ontology. The discussions involves pivotal thoughts of Indian and western thinkers attempting at understanding the society through literary analyses. It will provide an understanding of the issues and problems of Indian and European philosophers and how their ideas are reflected in today’s society.
