In this program, we attempt to bring together scholars and aspirants to cross-examine the varied Indian philosophical formulations of self, activity and agency, and their interconnectedness. This program will look at diverse literary sources for philosophical theory – linguistic and philological literature, the epics, poetics and literary criticism, treatises on knowledge, truth and ontology.

Discerning India

A Cultural Encounter summer school that opens up one to the Indian ways of thinking and living at a microcosmic level. This School portrays the intriguing and fascinating domestic diversity with well planned activities such as lecture-cum-demonstrations, workshops, and visits to significant places around.

Understanding Indian Cinema

The aim is to make students understand how Indian films probe questions of national identity, gender, race, class, etc. They would be exposed to art films and popular films to study how these films portray Indian society and culture. The format of the module is such that the students gain insights through lectures and discussions and screenings. The modules deliver and discuss not only theoretical insights and intervention options in the said topic, but will also include also in-depth acquaintances with the regional landscapes by means of guided site visits and excursions.

Business Landscapes in India

This summe school is aimed at students and working professionals interested in learning about the unique Indian business and cultural landscapes. Social Entrepreneurship

The basic objective is to provide theoretical framework of social entrepreneurship distinguishing it from other forms of business. It is also important to understand various formats of social entrepreneurship in different part of India. Temple Architecture in India

An important part of the ancient Indian temples was their architecture. It is reflected in the multitude details of figured sculpture as well as in the architectural elements. Temple architecture of high standard developed in almost all regions during ancient India. The distinct architectural style of temple construction in different parts was a result of geographical, climatic, ethnic, racial, historical and linguistic diversities.
